Sister Sampler Quilts Blog Hop Day 1

Jan 18, 2016

WELCOME.  Welcome to the Sister Sampler Quilts Blog Hop!  I am so excited to kick off this blog hop for my new book, Sister Sampler Quilts.  I have asked a group of super talented bloggers, authors, and fabric designers to share their thoughts on the book and even sew a sister block or two if they have the chance.  I can't wait to see what they've made.  Check here each day to see where we're hopping to that day  - there are chances to WIN a copy of the book along the way!

BOOK.  The book is a collection 25 quilt blocks (instructions given in both 9" and 12" finished sizes) that are made in pairs as "sisters", called sister blocks.  The Sister Blocks are then set in some fun and funky layouts that are beyond just a 3x4 grid.  All the blocks in the book are interchangeable, so you can truly create something extraordinary when you choose any of the 3 unique sampler settings.  If you are inclined, you can always pick a partner/sister to trade blocks with to add some extra fun!

LISTEN.  It's going to be an exciting week - and it all kicks off with American Patchwork & Quilting Radio's Podcast hosted by the talented and lovely Pat Sloan.  I'll be chatting with her during the entire second half of the show!  Be sure to listen today, January 18, 2016 at 4:00pm EST.  Click here to listen to previous episodes at any time.

DAY 1.  Today we begin the Sister Sampler Quilts Blog Hop with one of the best bag designers out there.  Sara Lawson of Sew Sweetness is most known for her awesome bag patterns, extensive interfacing knowledge, and 2 books, Big-City Bags and Windy-City Bags .  Her second book, Windy City Bags, just came out and is stirring up quite a storm!  Sara is also launching the new Sew Pro convention/meetup this fall.  Go here for Sara's stop on the blog hop.

Check back here tomorrow for the next stop on the hop.
