I did it! I accomplished one of my weekend goals... making a lightbox! I've complained about my basement lighting situation long enough that when I saw Jeni and Megan's boxes, I jumped on board.
Now this won't solve all my problems, but will definitely help with some of the smaller things I need to get shots of. I'm hoping to get away with this little point and shoot camera for a while, so $40 fixes to some of my photography issues are very welcomed.
It will help with fabric shots....
Block shots.... (although I want to get some wire and mini clothes pins to string across the box)...
And I'm pumped about using different backgrounds... a half yard piece, pressed, fits perfectly in my lightbox.
I also noticed my shots are not directly straight on... but I thought they were when I was down there. Something to try and fix next time. Using a makeshift tripod is going to help me out too.
What a cool, easy mini solution. I used the same tute Jeni recommended here if you're interested too. Oh, and I used tissue paper across the box to save my Kona! Kona White is my primary background, but I had to line the back of my brown card board box with white PC paper so the brown wouldn't show thru.
