Japanese Imports Fabric Swap - Complete and Success

Jun 9, 2011

The Japanese Imports Fabric Charm Squares Swap is complete!!  I mailed out all of the packages on Monday to the 27 participants.  Everyone should be getting a nice surprise in their mail box this week!  Wanna see the results??

Before the sort

Each person sent in one yard of Japanese Import fabric cut up into charm squares.  In return, each participant received 2 charms from each package sent in.  The result?  A wonderfully unique charm pack in hard to come by Japanese fabrics.  I REALLY love how this swap turned out.

Laying out envelopes and sort prep

I created a flickr group for each participant to upload a photo of their purchase for the swap after buying.  The intention of the group was to try and eliminate duplicates.  Success!  No one sent in the same material, and we had a nice variety of girl/boy/neutral prints.

This mosaic shows some of the fabrics included in the charm pack.  (not all were available to go into the mosaic and I forgot to take pics of those not on flickr)

Also, when one swap comes to an end..... we all know that means another swap is just beginning...

Keep your eyes peeled for the next GXQ fabric swap coming soon!
