Hi everyone!  Another Friday is here far this year is flying by!  Today's Follower Friday guest is Nancy of Nancy Noodle.  Quilting is just one of Nancy's crafty hobbies, as you can see by visiting her blog and Etsy shop.  I instantly recognized her fantastic vintage quilt stocking ornament as one of the "best of show" ornaments from GXQ's Ho-Ho-Holiday Swap.  Let's learn more about her....

Nancy of Phoenix, AZ

Occupation:  I'm a stay at home mom, but in my former life I was a dietitian for a school district.

Significant Other/Kids/Pets:  I am married to a pretty great guy and we have a beautiful 8 month old daughter named Kennedy.

How I learned to Quilt:  I made my first quilt almost 10 years ago (I was a senior in high school) but I only really got going 2 years ago.

I piece and quilt everything by machine, but I do a significant amount of embroidery too.

I come from a long line of quilters, 4 generations to be exact. I learned sewing from my mom and grandmother. But I also owe a lot of my learning to blogs and tutorials that I've found online.

Favorite Project:  It seems that my newest project is always my favorite. So currently my favorite completed quilt is the snowball quilt I made with Kate Spain's 12 Days of Christmas fabric. The design is simple enough to show off the fabulous fabric but pieced enough to keep it interesting. Which pretty much describes my quilting tendencies. I like to keep it simple and modern.

My Workspace:  Currently I have an extra bedroom that I spread my crafting into. Which is wonderful because I don't have to clean it up every time someone comes over, I just close the door.

Machine(s) I sew on:  I sew on a Janome.

Notion or tool I can't live without:  It's pretty hard to pick which tool or notion is my favorite, but the one that I use that makes all the difference in my quilting is my iron. I love crisp flat seams!

I recently opened an Etsy store, Nancy Noodle Shop, mostly as a creative outlet for me. I've listed an assortment of items including selvage ornaments for various holidays.

To keep up with Nancy and all that she's up to, check out her blog Nancy Noodle.
