Swap-tastic Weekend - Kona Your World Update

I took over my family room for swaping and sorting of the Kona Your World Swap this weekend.  Here's a look!

This giant storage tub has been accumulating Kona FQs since the beginning of January.  There were 21 participants.  x 12 FQs each = That's a whopping 252 Fat Quarters!  Thank goodness we had less than 30 swappers, I think I would have been buried for days if we had more.

sorted by color {aka the Kona Your World Shop}

notice the piled high tower of Rich Red.
I think at least 4 different people included this in their bundles.  I did my best to distribute it, but ended up biting the bullet at the end and took home 6 Rich Red FQs myself.  I AM happy to say though, I think everyone else was able to get a nice rainbow assortment.

Overall, I think this swap went really well!  My four year old is really going to miss going to the post office every couple days to check for packages.

Thank you to everyone who participated!  I will be getting these sent out this week.

  3. Cool! I'm excited to see what comes to my house. And that stack of red is too funny, I guess Rich Red is a staple that we all have too much of! My munchkin loves when I get packages, too - every time the UPS man or the mail lady come to the door, he asks me if it's more fabric. If I say yes, he says "hooray!"

  6. LOL, I was one of the Rich Red contributors. : ) I bought a ton of it thinking I was going to use it for my Urban Lattice quilt, then changed my plan. Looks like some great colors there, can't wait to get my stack!

  7. Pretty stack! Was it very difficult time consuming to sort and repackage?
