Time Out

Things have been awfully busy around here lately.  Unfortunately, there is not much to show you.  After the flurry of activity during the Sister Sampler Quilts blog hop, sewing deadlines, a book signing/trunk show at a quilt shop and a guild speaking event this week, I am ready to slow down the pace a bit.  It has been fast and furious since the book came out at the end of December.

So sometimes, when I get stressed, I self-impose a time out.
Forgetting about deadlines and everything I need to take care of, I go in time out and make something just for me.  I've been wanting to make some companion wide-open pouches to the tiny one I made last year.  It's the best therapy.
I am particularly smitten with the purple pouch.  It uses Denyse Schmidt prints inside and out, along with a little Studio Stash yarn dye from Jennifer Sampou on the bottom.

The green/blue pouch uses more Denyse print with Robert Kaufman navy corduroy on the bottom.
