WELCOME. Welcome to Day 4 of the Sister Sampler Quilts Blog Hop. We're taking the hop international today! The hop travels to two extremely talented quilters I admire. Check back here each day to see where we're hopping to - there are chances to WIN a copy of the book along the way.
DAY 4. The first stop today is Lily's Quilts by Lynne Goldsworthy. Lynne is a talented British modern quilting sensation. Lynne, or should I say her work, it seems, is most often found on the cover of quilting and patchwork magazines. Her books 500 Quilt Blocks and Quick and Easy Quilts: 20 Modern Machine Quilting Projects (pre-order) demonstrate her lovely combination of modern, yet traditional style. Go here for Lynne's stop on the blog hop.
The second stop on the blog hop is Amy Friend of During Quiet Time. Amy's intricate paper piecing work fascinates me. She is so talented at creating her own paper piecing patterns and she designs many pictorial quilt blocks. And she manages to design these blocks with a unique modern flair that I love! She has been featured in many publications and is eagerly awaiting the release of her first book with Lucky Spool, Intentional Piecing: From Foundation Piecing to Fussy Cutting (preorder now!). Wait until you see the perfect fussy cutting she chose for her block from the book! Go here for Amy's stop on the blog hop.
