More Mini Grannies, Pt. 3

Albeit the mini Granny Square progress has been extremely slow this summer, I'm at least happy to report I have 8 new scrappy grannies to show you.  This tops my previous two posts (1 and 2) where my grand total number of blocks made was only 7.  I've added another 8 grannies and almost am about halfway through making these scrappy blocks.  I'll need 36 total.  Oi.
These square up at 8" unfinished and will be used to make a border around the larger scrappy grannies I received from the guild bee in early 2015.  I'm really happy with them.  It's fun to make each block different, but they are quite time consuming that way.  Hoping to get a bunch done now that school is almost back in session!

(Can you tell I'm using a Cotton + Steel Basics mini charm pack for the centers of these blocks?  They're almost exactly the size I need.  I've been using a mini charm for the center, cutting a standard 5" charm for the 4 squares in the middle ring, and then pulling from the never ending scrap bin for the outer most ring.) 1. no,I couldn't tell that it was cotton&steel but then again I've only seen their stuff twice-- once when the sales rep was here, and then when the 10 x 10's came in! I've gotten to "thumb through "them....the bolts won't be here for awhile yet. I'm sure I'll get to know them!
