March Mini Quilt

By now I'm sure you've heard about Fat Quarter Shop's March Minis Challenge.  It coincides with basketball's March Madness.  Although I'm late to the party, it's only halfway through March, so I've decided I'm going to join in.  The challenge lasts all month.  All you have to do is share your minis on Instagram with the hashtag #fqsmarchminis.  Easy and fun, right?  Of course, FQS always has a sweet giveaway too.
Above is my fabric pull.  I'm sewing up a mini using the Moccasin BOM Block #1, Lady of the White House.  I'm pumped to do the same block in a completely different colorway.  My boys have already staked claim on whatever (their words not mine) project comes out of the stack.  I'm secretly happy that they fight and compete for what I'm going to make when all they see is the stack sitting on my cutting table.
I'm off to start cutting in the sunshine.

  1. Sounds like you've raised those boys right.

  2. AnneMarie, I really like the blues and greens you put together--and the contrast with the white really sets the block off. I'm a beginner and I've always steered away from piecing little bits, especially when there's white to show off all the wobbles :) And your green "frame" is so straight and clean that it looks like you drew it on!
