When I was asked if I was interested in donating a quilt block for St. Jude's, I immediately said yes. In my life before having my own children, I worked at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus doing research. Anything we can do to cheer a sick child is worth it - and perhaps this quilt block, when joined with it's mates, will help comfort and warm a little one who needs it. I chose to make the Hope of Hartford quilt block. So simply because it represents hope. It's starry pattern will maybe remind a child to wish upon a star.
Thank you to Chili's Restaurants, who organized this charity quilt block effort and donates millions to help support St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
