So... a couple months ago, I did something completely spontaneous.  It was a little crazy and completely out of character (I'm a planner, the engineer... right?), but I fell head over heels for Jewel Kade Artisan Jewelry.  And just like that, I bought the whole kit and kaboodle that makes me a jewelry consultant for JK.  My husband gave me the eye roll, but I barely even noticed since I was busy wearing my new pretties that make me feel good in my SAHM wardrobe.

Jewel Kade has a custom photo charm - where you can upload any photo you want and they will create a customized charm just for you.  You can pick from different size charms, color, sepia or black and white finishes, etc.  Most people make photo charms of their kids, family or pets.

What did this girl do??

Yep!!  My very own quilt block photo charm.  I just love it!!  I made these two blocks as a part of my Spangled quilt and I am so happy with how they look framed in this charm.  I wore this necklace all around at Quilt Market.

I can't wait to wear it to my guild meetings and to the NQA Show later this month.  But I think I may have started a new little addiction......  I have a few other blocks I think would look great as another charm...... I think I have a few Sisters' Ten blocks that would be perfect!  :)

[If anyone would like a JK quilt block charm, just let me know.  I can help you design one if you'd like!]

  1. I love it! Wear it with pride especially since that is your block. Too cool. I'm sporting a necklace with an antique feather weight looking machine on the pendant. I love jewelry but I really love it when it represents who we are.

    1. Sarah- the custom charm is $68. You can choose to upload 2 photos or they have a few charm back options (like your initials) to pick from. Chains are sold separately.

    1. Hi Shelia - The chain (called Offset Crystal) is my absolute favorite. It comes in 2 lengths: 18" - $36 and 28" - $40. I am wearing the shorter version in the picture.
