Call for First Quilts 2012 & 2011 Showcase

Jan 11, 2012
Pin It It's a new year and Gen X Quilters' needs a new line up of First Quilts to showcase our growth.  Successes, failures, accomplishments, and everything in between.  I hope you've been enjoying GXQ's First Quilts on the First in 2011 as we've highlighted some great quilters and shown off our humble beginnings.  We've all got to start somewhere right?
CALL FOR FIRST QUILTS 2012

*****************************************************************
Want to show your First?
*****************************************************************

Have you grown immensely since starting your first quilt?  Have a great story behind it?  We'd love to see it! Remember, those that participate in this series are entered into a drawing at the end of the year to win a lovely quilty prize!  I am now accepting entries to be featured on GXQ's guest series, First Quilts on the First for this year.  There are 11 spots to fill (one for each month) - and I expect quite a few entries.  So please, be patient with me.  If you are selected for a guest spot, I will email you with in a week or so.

Here's what is needed in the post:
1.  Picture of your First Quilt and the story behind it (mistakes, blunders, and ah-ha! moments)
2.  Picture of your current work
3.  Story on how you've grown in your quilting, sources of inspiration, funny incidents, etc.

If you are interested in guest blogging for this post, please send me an email (annemarie@genxquilters.com) with the 2 pictures (First Quilt and Current Quilt) and your blog info.  No need to write the post now.  I will then select the monthly featured guests and set up a schedule.

Can't wait to see YOUR First!

  3. I've enjoyed the series. I'll have to send you an email, just so you can laugh (hard!) at my first quilt, circa 2000...
