Secret Santa Swap on Twitter

Dec 31, 2011
Pin It My friend Amy (Sukie) set up a Secret Santa Swap on Twitter for the holidays.  It was fun to get to know some new sewing friends and the swap was made easy by not requiring a handmade item.  You could purchase supplies or other items from your partner's wishlist.

Here's what I gave to my partner Megan of Canoe Ridge Creations:

I remembered that Jessica of Sew Crafty Jess made some adorable pintoppers earlier in the year.  I contacted her to see if she would whip up a couple for me to gift in the swap.  Aren't they cute?  And to go along with them, I made this little cupcakey pincushion.  I know, I know.  We weren't supposed to make anything.  I couldn't resist!

Here's what I received from Erin of Two More Seconds:
I love the scissors...hopefully they will help me get motivated to get that ABC sampler I'm supposed to be doing for baby #3 done this winter.  And the sketch book is a fantastic idea!  I'm going to back pocket this idea for the future.  Every quilter could use one - b/c we all have those block sketches all over the place.  I may even make a fabric cover for it??  :)  And she also threw in some Sewing Summit loot too!

This was a fun swap!  Thanks to Erin for a great gift and also thanks to Amy for putting it all together!
