Wow, what a great giveaway! My favorite girl name is Lena - we were told my son was a girl from the ultra sound, but got quite a surprise on birth day! I really like Sam, Oliver, and Max for boy names. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteHmm... A couple of years ago when I was going through the same thing my top girl name was Ada -- which is now very popular, so I wouldn't pick it. :) Boys are HARD. We finally settled on Sean.

For little girls, Kloey, Audrey, Autumn, For boys hmm...James, Christopher, Austin. Some like really odd names, others like what I call "vintage" names. Do hope your are enjoying every day. Nothing more beautiful than expecting a little one, is there?
ReplyDeleteI like traditional names. My one piece of advice is this...if you use a traditional name, use the traditional spelling. My husband's parents used an unusual spelling and it always get misspelled.

ReplyDeleteMy daughter (Vera Noelle) is 10 months old, and I found names SO difficult when we were trying to pick one for her. Our favorite boy's name that we settled on was Dylan. For girls we also considered Aurora (we would have used Rory as a nickname) and I also love some of the names that are really popular right now like Ava, Sofia, and Olivia. I'm all about "regular" names. Nothing with weird spellings, too hard on the kids while growing up...their personalities should stand out, not the mis-pronouncation of their names.

ReplyDeleteBaby names are one of my favorite topics! For a boy, you are doing well if it doesn't rhyme with "Aiden". My baby names always in in the "ah" sound, so right now my favorites are - "Judah, and Ziva". I think Holden is a great name though too.

We haven't chosen our names either! The ones I love for our coming little girl that my husband has thrown out are Charlotte and Carmen. For a boy, I just recently fell in love with the name Miles.

ReplyDeleteI will never have to think about baby names since I can't have kids (something I've really been struggling with the last couple of weeks), so it's hard for me to think of names. Though for a girl I have always liked Madeleine. And for a boy I've always liked Mason and Xander. :O)
For a girl, I love Melissa Grace. Boys are a little harder for me for some reason and I tend to lean towards more Spanish type names which promptly get vetoed by my husband. We are expecting to welcome a baby boy this week and simply have to settle on a name!

AnneMarie, For a boy I love the name Marek and for a girl Evie!!!! They are not everyday names and not over the top different either. They go with almost all last names ( which in my case is DIFFICULT).

ReplyDeleteI love the old fashioned names. I have Emily, Christine and Jennifer. Then there are my grands...Harmony, Sierra and Kaia. So take your pick. Your baby will grow into any name that you choose.
