Tooth Fairy Pillow and Deploy That Fabric Winner

Oct 16, 2011
Pin It Look what we finally got to use!

Our very first lost tooth....and visit from the tooth fairy!

I made this little pillow almost a year ago when the dentist first found a loose tooth.  He doesn't like to wiggle them much needless to say.

He's shown his special pillow to everyone who comes over after they notice the big gap in his smile.

If you'd like to make one, I wrote a Tooth Fairy Pillow Tutorial here.

The winner of the Deploy That Fabric book is Janelle!  There were lots of wonderful ideas about repurposing fabrics in the comments.  If you're looking for inspiration, head over and look what others have done.

Janelle, please email me (annemarie@genxquilters.com), I don't see a way to contact you on your profile!

I have some old Navy uniforms that I have set aside for projects. A seaman's white will be summer pants for my oldest daughter, and the shirt turned into a vintage "sailor" (for sure) dress. The old blue wool dress coat - a new coat with some embellishments for my middle son. I'd love some more ideas!

  4. Awww, don't you just love that smile? Elsa lost her first tooth, too, a few days ago! I forgot that you had a tutorial for a tooth fairy pillow - I guess I need to put this on my to-do list for the next one. : )

  6. What a cute idea. I think it may be a few years before we need one - Older Grandson is just 20 months old - but I will keep it on my "to do" list!
