Meeting Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom & the Country Living Fair

What a fun gal!  Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom at the Country Living Fair here in Columbus, Ohio.
Jennifer Paganelli and me

She was at the fair doing a book signing for her book Girls' World and a demo with Earth Angels.  We had tweeted back and forth a couple times....which basically involved Jennifer announcing she would be there and me responding to say I was coming and couldn't wait.

Girls' World

When I arrived at the book signing, I was greeted with the warmest smile and a big hug!  I couldn't believe Jennifer had actually been to visit GXQ!  We had a nice little chat and she met one of my sons, who was half playing shy.

I brought my copy of Girls' World and explained I have 2 boys.  Hey, you never know when you're gonna need to sew up an adorable girl's dress right?  For those with girls or nieces, etc., this book has some very  cute patterns in it.

Also at the fair was a really fun booth of Kelly's (of Modern June) in the oilcloth theme for her book Sewing with Oilcloth.  Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet her since she was out doing her demo when I was able to stop by the booth.

If you ever have the chance to go to the Country Living Fair, I'd definitely make the effort.  In addition to 2 appearances by fabric industry authors, there are lots of other fun things to shop for.  My mom and I took the kids (which made it more difficult to really shop), but we still had a blast looking at crafts, antiques, vintage aprons, vintage linens...... eating Jeni's ice cream.......  and we had to stay for Cooper's Kitchen with Cooper Boone.  He's not only a cook, but he also gives a live performance of some good country music in between his cooking demos.

Cooper Boone

My 5 y.o. son loves country music and surprisingly likes Iron Chef America on Food Network, so we made sure he got a front and center seat for the show.  Cooper even gave him a shout out during the demo!  Talk about making a 5 y.o.'s day.  :)  Then the whole audience got to sample the recipes cooked up during the demo.

Anyway, I think you get my point.  It was a great day.
We'll be going back next year!
