I just finished up this little lingerie {delicates} bag to send off to my friend Lee of Freshly Pieced.  I wanted to thank her for the graphic design work she did for me in the spring (see that header and GXQ's buttons, pattern covers, etc.).... and we had worked out a trade of some sorts to help each other out.

I made this lingerie bag in enough time for her to Travel Handmade at the Sewing Summit.  I don't know about you, but my suitcase and packing are usually a mess, so a lovely bag like this could always help a girl out.

It's made from the most delicious lilac linen you have ever seen (I ordered it from Whipstitch) and I paired it with an older (2006?) Alexander Henry lingerie/undies print my SIL gave to me.  I added some of the darling specialty stitches that my machine does that I hardly get to use as some little accents on the linen.  It's lined with the AH print.

Inside I tucked a few fat quarters of Echino and other Japanese prints straight from the one and only Tomato in Tokyo.

This turned out too cute and I think I'm going to have to make another for me!  If nothing else, I NEED more of that lilac linen.

Thanks again Lee!
