It's starting to get Spooky around here....

Every year around September 1st, I get excited to decorate for Halloween.  We're usually one of the first houses in the neighborhood with our Halloween lights up around Labor Day.  I start to think of the brisk temperatures, the smell of the air, apple picking, and football.  Who doesn't love fall?  Now that it's officially October, things are starting to get Spooky around here!

This Halloween quilt rounds out my collection of ceramic pumpkins and spooky knickknacks. Log cabin blocks (pattern here) were used to make the ghost and pumpkin shapes. This was probably only the 2nd or 3rd real quilt that I made.   I tried some hand basting applique to create the faces and stem.

I hope you're ready for things to get Spooky at Gen X Quilters!!!
