Hi there and welcome to another Follower Friday!  This week I want to introduce you to Rebecca of Merry Made Quilts

She does some fabulous work and her mission in her blogging and quilting really pulls at your heart.  Rebecca and her family are preparing to adopt and she is using her quilting as a means of raising money for the adoption.  What a wonderful way to pour love into your quilts!

Rebecca of Saint George, KS

Occupation: Stay at home mommy! I got my degree in Elementary Education but right now I'm only warping 2 young minds with it!

Significant Other/Kids/Pets: One fantastic hubby/2 needy and slightly neurotic doggies/ 4 yr old daughter (who is already asking for her own sewing machine!) and 2 yr old son

# Years Quilting: I'm still a newbie with only a few years under my belt!

Hand or machine piecing/quilting: I started out with my first several quilts being completly hand pieced and quilted, but recently I've been doing both! I like to always have a hand project going for car waits (nothing quite so boring as sitting outside preschool!)

How you learned to quilt: My fabulous Mommy taught me when I was little but it never really stuck until I was pregnant with my 1st and just wanted something to give her that was hand made by me. So, I turned to all of those fab. bloggers and tutorials out there!

Favorite project: My first ever bed quilt! I jumped right in with both feet! I had NO CLUE how long it would take to hand piece, baste, and hand quilt a queen sized quilt. I had never even done a quilt sqare before! All I had was a pair of fabric scissors, a pencil, thread and ONE needle!! I think the sheer number of hours in this quilt is the only reason it's still my fave!

Other interests: I love to crochet, read, photography is another obsession of mine!

Workstation setup: This is proof that you don't need anything fancy...though I would KILL for a table!! I blogged about the whys of this set up here... blame it on the midgets in the house!
