Field Trip: Sew to Speak, Columbus, Ohio

My SIL Liz was in town visiting last week and we went to the cutest little fabric shop!  Sew to Speak Shoppe in the Clintonville area of Columbus.  What fun!  It's so brightly colored on the inside you can't help but be in a good mood.

Anita and April run the shop together as a mother-daughter team.  Now that sounds cool - a family fabric business...

They carry Amy Bulter, Anna Maria Horner, Alexander Henry and many other brightly colored modern fabrics.

Lots of cute patterns - dresses and kids' clothing.

Books, fabric bundles, ribbons.

Even a small classroom in the back (which they mentioned could possibly be used for the first Columbus Modern Quilt Guild meeting! More about that later....)

Although I should be on a fabric buying freeze, I couldn't help but pick up some of these wonderful oilcloths.  They were only $7 per yard.  I figured I could dream up something!

I love to support locally owned family businesses.  They make this town unique!  Stop on over at their shoppe and/or blog if you get the chance!
