Does the Process Pledge make you feel naked?

There. I said it. That's how the Process Pledge makes me feel. Now don't get me wrong.... what a fantastic idea to showcase all the hard work that goes into a quilt. But boy, does it make me feel vulnerable, exposed......naked.

Isn't it hard as an artist to show your work before it's finished? Until it's perfect - and everything is exactly the way you want it? Am I the only one who feels this way?

I think the Process Pledge will help me as a quilter to admit that not everything turns out right the first time. And hopefully, recognize that mistakes help me gain knowledge and learn. So although, this is going to be like pulling teeth at first, I'm pledging and willing to try.

  1. I post about my processes and even solicit advice from blogger & facebook friends. Its a lot of fun when others contribute to the design process. If you visit my blog, search for Christmas Tree Au Natural - many friends assisted in its design. :)

  2. I have to admit, I am sometimes afraid of being ridiculed for what I post. I can almost hear people saying, "I can't believe she put those together that way...." But, the thing that I've discovered is that people are incredibly supportive for the most part. And, they come up with with really good ideas when asked. But, still, sometimes it is hard to put it up there - warts and all.
